Tanzania
The Serengeti's migration, Ngorongoro's crater, the Zanzibar coast — every Tanzanian itinerary we run, privately guided.
A closer look at Tanzania.
Tanzania is the country most safari dreams are modelled on. The northern circuit — Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti — sits inside one long week of dawn game drives, and the rhythm never quite repeats itself. Further south and west, Ruaha and Katavi reward travellers willing to fly for a day or two.
Our planning team is based in Arusha. That means our lodge relationships, guide roster and private-vehicle fleet are built in-country, not negotiated over email. Every itinerary includes a dedicated driver-guide, and most finish on Zanzibar with a few quiet days between the reef and the spice gardens.
The headline safari highlights
The Great Migration
Two million wildebeest and zebra move in a slow loop through the Serengeti and across into the Mara. We camp at the crossings.
Ngorongoro Crater
A collapsed volcano the size of a small country, fenced in by its own walls, with a permanent population of lions, rhinos and flamingos.
Ruaha & the South
Fewer vehicles, more elephants, and some of the best walking safaris in East Africa. Best flown into from Dar.
Zanzibar
A spice archipelago off the Swahili coast. We add 3–5 days after the safari for diving, dhow sails and Stone Town.

Serengeti Great Migration: River Crossings & Calving Season
Best time to visit
June through October is the long dry season and the most popular window. January and February are the calving season on the southern Serengeti plains — quieter crowds, dramatic predator action.

Ask a question →When is the best time for the Great Migration?
July through early October is the most reliable window for the Mara River crossings in the northern Serengeti. January–March is the calving season on the southern plains.
Is it safe to travel in Tanzania?
Yes — Tanzania is one of the most stable countries in the region for travel. Parks are gated and patrolled, and our vehicles carry radios, first-aid kits and satellite communications.
Can we combine the safari with Zanzibar?
Almost every itinerary we run does. The usual cadence is 7–10 days on safari followed by 3–5 days on the coast. We handle the connecting flights.
What does a private safari actually include?
A private 4x4, a driver-guide who stays with you the whole trip, all park fees, all accommodation, all meals on safari, and internal transfers. Flights into the country and drinks are usually separate.
